Today is Father’s Day and it’s about time I wrote about Ada’s birth.

Ada was born on December 16th at 12:00PM exactly. She was delivered via scheduled c-section, which was the safest option for us because the baby was in a breech position.

We went to the hospital early that morning. Kimberly was whisked off to change into her hospital gown and I was taken to the pre-op room to wait for her. While waiting, a nurse explained to me that I should eat so that I don’t pass out later. “Are you nervous?” she asked. “No,” I said, telling the truth. “Well don’t be, everything’s going to be fine. Look out! Here comes the Spider-ManToday I played Spider-Man at Parties on Air for a kids 4th birthday party, just because I could. I had a great time. I got a little worried when I walked in and heard one of the kids say “I don’t think that’s Spider-Man, I think that’s a real man.” But she seemed quite convinced when I handed her a spidey-mask a few minutes later. My mom is, aside from an exceptional gift giver, a lover of history and culture. So this Valentine’s Day I gave my mom a different sort of gift. I had someone in India call her – from India – to give her a history lesson on the history of Valentines Day in India and it’s impact on India’s culture.
